Atlas Collections was formed in 1967 as Physician’s Collections Services of Muncie, serving a multi-specialty clinic of local doctors in Muncie, Indiana.  The agency was co-owned by the medical practice and within a few short years began to take on work from other physicians within the local medical community.

In 1972, the business was formally sold and reorganized as Atlas Collections Inc. to the former manager and several investors.  By 1981, the agency had grown to more than 100 accounts and a dozen collectors.  The agency grew to handle not just medical clients but other commercial and governmental clients.

Today, Atlas has grown to be one of the largest collection and recovery firms in Indiana with a variety of services beyond traditional collections including early-out receivables management, charity-care management , second-placement services and data management. 

Atlas prides itself on a highly personal and customizable approach with our clients while utilizing the latest technology and innovative ideas to collect and manage receivables with compassion and care.
