2nd Placement Clean-Up Collection

Atlas Collections Clean-Up product is intended as a one-time placement of accounts from a database that needs a 2nd evaluation before decisions to write them off occurs.  Our process will "clean-up" accounts that have not been worked or evaluaed as expected by a previous entity.  This proposal covers the processes, costs, and information required to start the process of recovering your past due receivables.  Atlas takes a "Firm but Fair" approach with all accounts placed for collection.

Custom Industry Solutions:  Atlas will customize its approach to accommodate any special needs your accounts require.  Many times, based upon type and age, ongoing client relationship accounts must be handled with a specific touch.  We will work with you to develop the appropriate touch based upon our combined mutual experience handling these types of accounts.  Custom settlement options based upon industry standards should be considered as an important collection tool on your accounts.

Clean-Up Collection Program:

  1. Sorting:  Atlas' Administration team will evaluate and place the account into 1 of 3 categories based upon age, where in the collection process the account is, information available, and potential settlement options available.
  2. Move:  Atlas' team will move the accounts into the proper disposition (status) for collection efforts, cancel and write-off by client, or if they are already in judgement, for follow-up of possible garnishment action.
  3. Letters:  Atlas will initiate the collection effort by validating the debt with one letter.  We will allow 30 days for a response, and then proceed to Step 4 for accounts requiring additional collection follow-up.
  4. Calls:  An Account Representative will begin calling on accounts approximately 31 days if no response is received from letter campaign.  We will be asking for either payment in full, agreed upon settlement terms, or a payment plan.  If unsuccessful, the account will continue to Step 5 if a valid Place of Employment exists.
  5. Litigation:  If no resolution can be reached, a review for possible litigation and garnishments (wage and/or bank) will be pursued.  Asset location will start and assist with the perfection of the judgement in the appropriate jurisdictions (litigation is available in all 92 Indiana counties).

FTP and Regular Account Transfer:  Atlas maintains a secure FTP site for file transfers via the Internet.  Accounts may also be submitted by regular mail.

Billing:  Atlas will send a monthly statement along with the net amount due you by the 10th of the proceeding month.
