Letter to Litigation Commercial Collection
Letter to Litigation is Atlas Collections mainstay debt recovery product for governmental clients and utility provider clientele. This proposal covers the process, costs, and information rerquired to start the process of recovering your past due receivables. Even thought Commercial accounts do not fall under the scrutiny of FDCPA, Atlas takes a "Firm but Fair" approach with all accounts placed for collection.
Custom Industry Solutions: Atlas will customize its approach to accommodate any special needs your accounts require. Many times, based upon type and age, ongoing client relationship accounts must be handled with a specific touch. We will work with you to develop the appropriate touch based upon our combined mutual experience handling these types of accounts. Custom settlement options based upon industry standards should be considered as an important collection tool on your accounts. Two distinct types of clients emerge with your client base, thus two distinct styles of recovering your dollars will also apply. Within the consumer household group, we will be aware of employment in working with your clients to resolve the non-payment issues. Within the commercial-based group, we will typically "fast track" payments and litigation to a resolution.
Three Steps to Collection:
- Letters: Atlas will initiate the collection effort by "validating the debt" with one letter allowing 7 days for a response, and then proceeding to Step 2.
- Calls: Our Account Representatives will begin calling accounts on day 8 if no response is received following our initial letter. We will be asking for either payment in full, establish a payment plan, or recommend that the account move to Step 3.
- Litigation: If no resolution can be reached, a review for possible litigation and garnishments (wage and/or bank) will be pursued. Asset location will start and assist with the perfection of the judgement in the appropriate jurisdictions (litigation is available in all 92 Indiana counties).
FTP and Regular Account Transfer: Atlas maintains a secure FTP for file transfers via the Internet. Accounts may also be submitted by fax or regular mail.
Recovery Percentages: Atlas recovers, on average, 20 to 37% of all accounts placed on our system depending upon age, initial information provided, and industry.
Billing: Atlas will send a monthly statement along with the net amount due you by the 10th of the proceeding month.
