First Placement Collections

Atlas Services' “letter to litigation” First Placement Management program is our flagship debt recovery product.

Customization sets apart our First Placement collection services. We understand that different account designations require different follow-up. For example, some accounts will involve a high level of personal follow-up, while others – like commercial accounts – can generally be “fast-tracked” to payment and litigation for resolution. Our debt recovery specialists will work with you to create a customized, integrated program that includes everything from establishing a credit policy to pursuing litigation.

The diversity of our practice combined with specific expertise in regulation-heavy fields helps us develop systems that deliver results. Atlas takes a firm-but-fair approach to all accounts that are placed with us for collection. Our staff is experienced, trained, and accredited. And all our debt recovery practices meet Fair Debt Collections Practices Act standards – whether or not your industry falls under the scrutiny of the law.

OUR PROCESS

• Collection Letter

Atlas initiates the collections process by validating the customer’s debt – sending an initial follow-up letter that provides a 7 day window for response.

• Follow-Up Call

If no response is received within the initial recovery window, Atlas Account Representatives will begin calling accounts on day 8. Our staff will request payment in full, establish a payment plan, or – failing a satisfactory resolution – recommend that the account be moved into the litigation process.

• Litigation

If no resolution can be reached, a review for possible litigation and garnishments (wage and/or bank) will be pursued. Asset location is used to assist with perfection of the judgment in the appropriate jurisdictions. Atlas offers litigation services in all 92 Indiana counties, ensuring you receive consistent and effective representation regardless of geography.

"You have to love a local company owned by local individuals that are committed to providing excellent service to businesses in a professional manner while maintaining a personal relationship with all parties involved."
